  2. Hi, Anyone recc. a good bodyshop in SE London/ N Kent Areas please ?? G/frnd has had a prang in her 206 in a car park and managed to reverse into a bollard. Rear left door is pretty badly dented and will likely need panel work and spray. (apologies if this is in the wrong section) Thanks

  4. I live only 12 miles out of london but my daily commute takes 1-1.25 hours. You get used to it and I have been doing it for 7 years. Most people I speak to who live further out have more reliable and punctual trains so that takes a lot of stress out of the situation. Id def say go for it as you get used to it and can snooze on the train. The opportunity presented from working in London is worth the effort.

  6. Anyone know where this is located and how to replace it?
  7. well total damage is gonne be 600 quid new ECU on exchange from Audi and then they have to take car to Audi so they can reprogramme the ECU to the immobiliser. I had a look inside the ECU and the circuit board looks fine but there were a few small watermarks on the inside of the lid - ever so tiny tho I saw the chip that AMD put in there also and its just soldered onto the circuit board - Sanspeed have told me they can remove this and put it on the new one so that I can keep the map (an extra 100quid plus VAT of course) I have to say the ECU is in a stupid place on my car - right under the windscreen where rain should run down - once this is fixed I will be sealing it up in waterprrof plastic to stop this happening again - very poor design from Audi oh and it wont be done til next tuesday.....
  8. hi there, I was told about this from someone else - what does it do ? the place that have my car, Sanspeed, say there is no output from the ECU
  9. I had it done at AMD - remap was fine and prefect I had a bit of a disagreement with them when I had my car serviced later in the year so feel a little uneasy asking them for anything regarding my car to be honest what kind of remap wud they ahve used ? anyone know ?
  10. in fact i feel like crying as I thought this would only cost couple hundred max..........
  11. My car has been off road for past 3 weeks after cutting out intermittently and towed it into garage on Sat morning. When i towed it in it would not start at all - turnover but not fire and no go from injectors They have called me just now and told me i need a new ECU as the trim wasn't put back on properley and water has got into it and damaged the board. How could this have happened ? Would anyone have need to access the ECU when i had my car remapped ? I had my car remapped maybe 2 years ago They have told me it will cost around 450quid.....but now I will lose the remap i had done on it. I feel crap. Any Advice ?
  12. Ok the Oil sensor light kept coming on intermittently over the past 2-3 occassions that I have been driving and now the car wont start at all the DIS is not showing any errors. I pulled up last nite and the engine cut off and wouldn't start when i tried 3-4 times. Its turning over but sounds like there is no fire - are these two things related ? and what needs to be done when oil sensor light comes on in general - the car was given major service at AMD 2k back and oil level is fine. Help is greatly appreciated !
  13. well isnt is a matter of safety and that they were pleased you didnt threaten a law suit as they should have noticed it in the service ??
  14. Im not fan of those wheels either but love colour of your car that pic makes it look really deep
  15. I have a similar thing on mine and its been there for a while not noticable to passengers but I know its there so bugs me A specialist in Bicester told me i needed a whole new exhaust as the weld was busted and advised upgrading to a performance system as it was 'more cost effective' I took it to an independent whilst having MOT and they told me there was nothing wrong so Iv just left it....may try and get the little rattle sorted soon though for summer interested to know how your fix goes
