Teacake
[ QUOTE ] Also I thin k we all miss the point on the FA revealing emails bit ; the FIA asked all the drivers and staff of MC if they knew of any evidence to suggest that MC had used the Ferrari data !!!!! At what point is not adhering to that request by the Sports Governing body in a court in any way backhanded??? A few of you have said you would be sacked from your job if you did similar?? In my profession the FSA comes much higher up the “to be obeyed” list than my employer I can assure you. Also if FA , and he was disgruntled at the time suddenly “remembered” some evidence then who is to say that is the only info inside MC that will come out as other people remember such. Is it not coincidental that the only concrete proof or mention of using the Ferrari data comes from FA ???? Hmmmm me thinks they are still hiding lots of secrets. [/ QUOTE ] Selective memory, there. The e-mails came out after Alonso had threatened Ron Dennis with going to the FIA. It was Dennis that then phoned Moseley. The FIA's request for e-mails from the drivers came much later. They weren't volunteered by Alonso, even though he knew their significance; the FIA had to ask for them. So I'm suggesting that it is unethical to attempt to blackmail your employer. Alonso didn't just remember the e-mails. He knew about them, and knew their significance, and tried to use them to gain advantage. He had evidence of malpractice by his employer and didn't reveal it. And let's not forget also that the reason he knew this is because he is one of the McLaren employees that - as a result of his use of Ferrari data - got McLaren the fine and championship ban. If I lost my employer $100m and sent a year's work down the drain I'd not be in my job for long.

It is stupid to threat RD about the existence of the emails, if only FA and De La Rosa are guilty ! Ha ha ha !!! Come on, the complete MC team knew all or almost all the information and this is the reason why FA used to push RD to have an equal treat as his balls could not fit inside the cockpit (so inflated he had them after the paranoic decission of FIA to put him 5 positions behind the grid, and due to the LHs behaviour at the Q3, for example). RD is an unethical person and FA should have closed his big mouth !

You seem to be saying that it's okay for Alonso to blackmail Ron Dennis because Dennis must already have known that McLaren had Ferrari data. I do not see how it makes a difference whether Dennis knew, because whatever the circumstances Alonso was still trying to blackmail him over it. Clearly it was not just Alonso and de la Rosa who are to blame, as you seem to be construing from my previous statements. But I am saying that he was undoubtedly one of the employees involved, and yet he still has his job. If it were me in Ron Dennis' shoes, I would have put Alonso on the bench for the remainder of the season, for the blackmail business alone, and replaced him as soon as I could. The fact that he hasn't suggests to me that he is quite prepared for Alonso to win the driver's title, despite all the conspiracy theories, and has a much cooler head than I would have had. 42reina42
No problem guys, I will not be active in this post anymore as this is a neverending story. Thanks a lot for all your comments, there are some that make sense to me, some others that I do not share, but in general it has been very interesting to know all your points of view. Congratulations to LH supporters if he finally wins the Championship. See you in other posts.
