gloryhornet Posted November 2, 2007 Report Share Posted November 2, 2007 I've noticed a few people have been asking about delivery times etc, so thought I'd put my experience down. 1)Dealer placed car slot 31st July 2)Bought 6th September. (Edition 30 could still be ordered then) 3)Car built week starting 22nd October 4)Car at Dockside in Germany 29th October 5)Ready to be collected 12th November. (total time 16weeks) The interestng part is that the dealers now require a cover note to register the car, which is a new experience for me. They suggested I use VW insurance as they give you a 7 day courtesy cover note which is sent direct to the dealer allowing them to register the car. The quote was miles of my current policy, but you dont have to take it up. Its pretty useful if you are part exchanging or are not able to get an original cover note to the dealer. The 1st thing I intend to do, is fit a new sony headunit & Sony Ipod adapter (£12). Hope some of this helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
