Nelson_R32 Posted November 22, 2007 Report Share Posted November 22, 2007 If I remember correctly it has something to do with some technical improvements/remapping of car that they did in early 2006 which I *think* improved the emissions slightly. The TDV is to differentiate from the older 140 TDi's. I might add, I *think* thats what it was. The Porsche 997 Turbo has VVT, which means the vanes in the turbo can tilt (like they do on a jet engine), so it can spool up quicker and avoid turbo lag.
