Tynxuk
I bought an engine with ancillaries & gearbox for my Sharan which came from a 1997 seat cordoba (engine code AHU) but as they are different size vehicles decided to keep the original gearbox incase the ratios were different. I have now put the gearbox on ebay and given all the info I know inc other vehicles which are fitted with the AHU engine of similar size but is there a way of identifying it? shark_90
I thought gearboxes had a three digit ID code as engines do? Can't tell you where to look or how to find out, I just thought they did.
Tynxuk
Yes I think they do but I didn't want to get my hands dirty looking for it as its in the boot of the car which makes it awkward. At a quick glance there are lots of VW & audi (funnily no seat) signs on it and a few 9 digit codes but nothing thats an obvious 3 digit id code.
