shao_khan
We going to have a sweep - X hours til spin?
D1MAC
[ QUOTE ] We going to have a sweep - X hours til spin? [/ QUOTE ] Surely it depends on whether voluntary or not. Still think a decent number of S2K spins are caused by lack of RWD and VTEC experience.
cruiser647
[ QUOTE ] We going to have a sweep - X hours til spin? [/ QUOTE ] Cruel, but in this weather and wet roads, plenty of power and RWD....................... 2 weeks. (involuntary)

Tomk
I will do a quick review 2 days of having my s2000 --------------------------- The car - 2001Y Black with black leather. The car itself inside looks like new, ( bar the matts that need replacing) the seats hug you and the low slung steering wheel just makes you sit in a position that ' fits ' The pedals are a very nice distance apart and the gear box has to be the best ive ever used! there is plenty of boot space and for a soft top even at 90Mph the noise is only minimal The drive - well ive had many cars in the past - the reason why i never had a civic type r was easy - you need to drive it like you have nicked it... but this is just why i think this car works ! you can ' potter ' in the Sk2 and it feels like quite a fun ' go kart' like car thats not to quick not to slow, BUT the moment you hit 7000RPM the it becomes very different ! im finding it very hard to get used to this high power band and find myself moving to 2nd gear to overtake were i would expect to be in 3rd or maybe 4th ! im sure this is somethign i will get used to as i said its only been 2 days The sk2 even seems a nice car to own - even though its been out a while lots of people have said ' oh you have got one of those ' and when i called the insurance company up the girl said ' oh i love those very nice... ' so it still seems to turn heads, Dealers - ive been very impressed wtih my 1st call to honder - a minor thing - ive got one key and one plip so got to sort one , called at 4.55pm and put though to the service department guy took my details and said he would find out , asked me what the plip looked like as he said my car did not have a standard alarm and he wanted to work out which one i had, took my Number plate vin etc and said he would call me back - being used to audi dealers expected to have to call them in the morining and chase it up.. BUT 10 mins later he called to say it was ordered and would let me know when to come in so they can cut / program it. Very good !ok it was not cheap £37 for a key £42 for a plip and 'up to 30mins in teh workshot to program then !!!! ' BUT at least they seems good.. will have to see in this wet weather how i get on.. but time will tell !
fizzbitt
I know a couple of S2K owners and none of them have a bad word to say about the car. Infact im off to the Nurburgring with bunch of lads with these 2 cahps coming along. Im going to be a passenger in a standard one and the other is heavily modified with a US super charger bolted on with a load of other gear. Even if you just take the resinator box off the airfilter it gives the car a great sound!
max_b
congrats on your purchase as said maybe worth taking it easy with the v-tec in this weather, plenty on new s2k owners had brown trouser moments early doors, v-tec when you straighten up it not a bad idea until you get used to things, before trying to v-tec during cornering! and dont forget s2k owners are hardcore, roof down even in this weather!, the faster you go, the less the rain hits you! max (ex s2k owner!)
