steelwind101
No air freshener here! But if i used one i would put it in the under the seats, in the vents, or even better where the airtake vents filter the air. You will need to look under the bonnet. ahaydock
I use Chemical Guys new car scent and spray it into the vents and then a few sprays in the air - personally I like the stuff and lasts a good amount of time!

Unfortunately, the pics with the damage have been removed, but it was a real horror story.

alera
That stuff is evil its like acid. The mrs left one on a leather chair and it spilled and stripped the leather coating completely all the way down to the hide..... Seriously its horrible stuff I wont have it in the house... bpsmith
My lad pulled ours out of the socket recently as a visitor left hall door open. Needless to say, he got it all over his hands and walked around the leather corner sofa and hand prints down the whole length of it! Its covered on warranty so getting them out very soon to rectify. No more of those in our house now!
wyliss
I think the Ambi pure will be getting removed today after reading that horror story ! I know that there are sprays about but was looking for something which freshen the car automatically rather than having to use a spray all the time, thats where the ambipure came in handy really. Any other ideas along this line? Ta
alera
I dont really like car air fresheners. I think its better to keep the inside clean with good quality products that bring out the natural (and very nice) smell of the leather, wood etc. If you like freshers some of the good quality ones like chemicals guys, a couple of sprays into all the air vents and a couple of blasts in the air will give a nice smell and will last for a good month or so. The smell really does last and it dosnt take long to do. Wont do any damage and if you decide you dont like it, wears out after a month or so... Seriously those ambi pure things are really danagerous for all types of finished surface, plastic, leather, wood fabrics they will strip and ruin just like acid. Better to get rid and be careful in the process ! Personally I use gliptone on the leather sparingly and Lord Shearatons natural bees wax spray on the wood / wood veneer in the car...Smells amazing like an old school roller or aston when its been done....Protects and conditions. If you want a normal type of car freshener the only one I would us is the gliptone liquid leather scent card. If gives off a strong smell of natural leather similar to that created on leather hides after the tanning process. They are not cheap though or easy to find over here... wyliss
Cheers Alera,I think I will get some of CG's stuff, which is a nice one to go for and who stocks it?
alera
http://www.chemicalguysuk.com/category_s/23.htm is the only place I know of online, or you could ask some of the suppliers on here. I dont really use air fresheners as I have said but the natural leather one is meant to be quite nice from reviews I have seen on other forums....I think they do a new car smell one as well which is good....
