petsy
do you have your wife or gf on your policy as this can sometimes reduce the premium.

Gti_Fly
My renewal has come up at £540, which is the same as last year - I thought it's supposed to come down every year?? or is 6years NCB the maximum I can expect? I asked about adding my Girlfriend to the policy, but it made it go up. Yet strangely adding me to her own Lupo made her's go down considerably.. Finding a decent insurance premium is just a game
burble
Perhaps I'll see about adding my girlfriend to my policy when I come to renew. I wonder what difference it'll make to add a 19 year old who has only had a license for 2 years

krys
Hi GTI_Jon Thought i'd ask who you're insured with as i too have 2 yrs no claim and am 32. Yet i'm being quoted around 680 - 1200 and i havn't even mentioned the mods yet. I'm in a pretty good area too, or so i thought I'm due to renew in 2 days time and would like some advice on who best to try for Modded mota's! Cheers all

Cheers all [/ QUOTE ] Have you tried Greenlight - a very mod friendly insurer - they also replace mods like for like - unlike most insurers. I shopped around and believe me I shopped around!. The best quote was from Adrian Flux www.adrianflux.co.uk Its fully comp and all mods are insured and replaced like for like. Greenlight were at the same level but something about them make me wary of them. I have all but 2 of the factory options on my GTI and some insurers wanted to list all the options as mods and would not replace like-for-like! Adrian Flux will replace like-for-like and they won't batter an eye lid when you phone up and tell them you've added further mods. Worth a try for sure. Some insurers wouldn't even quote me given the factory options and mods my car has! One even quoted close to £2500!!!!! Anyway, good luck, Krys

Cuprabob
You don't have to tell her or at least until you want her to pick you up from the pub one night, in which case you just say "I'm sure I told you, you must have forgot"
