However, why do the rears still beep when i am in drive after having recently reversed. Say for example I reverse into a gateway, then drive away and stop at a close road end not having done much speed. If I am sitting in drive waiting to go and someone walks behind the car the rear sensors beep. Is this normal or is there a problem? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Simonl Posted March 3, 2008 Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 No, they deactivate once you've been driving for a while (not sure if it's speed or time that causes them to turn off) and are reactivated again once you reverse or push the <P> button on the center console. davyk31 Posted March 3, 2008 Author Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 Do they not activate by themselves if say I was driving into a parking space with an obstacle in front of the car. Have not tried it but would have thought they would have to initiate themselves and beep as I drove up to the obstacle.
