cruiser647
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Hehe! Id love an MX5 but i have Cobra so thats not going to go down to well with other half Focus wasnt me for b/c it was the old shape, i dont like the dash and its very bland. I love C4 and 307's as they have a bit of flare. Edowen, thanks, i will try to get over to that 55 plate Mitsu before the weekend. The Almeria (Tino or not) are a little too off for me! Has anyone used Cargiant in W. London? Geoff [/ QUOTE ] Car is a banger, you got PM [/ QUOTE ] What did the report say? (yeah, nosey b4startd!) Hmm, maybe a trip to Croydon. Im not pressing for a replacement yet but did see nice Zafira over at Car Giant. Thanks again. Geoff

Don't go there, as you'llbe like a kiddy in a sweet shop! You might end up with something completely inappropriate! Great place, no haggling but plenty of choice! [/ QUOTE ] On the drive they deflated the tyres! Its shocking as this was at a Ford dealer, no doubt a nice car for someone. But it it had a big scrape down the side and on the bumper and i was suprised they put cars out on the forecourt of a dealer. CarGiant seems the place to spend a day and blow some money. edo
The power of the net. Although it doesnt surprise me, it REALLY annoys me that dealers have such low morals that they are prepared to do this. Name and shame the dealer - and make sure you tell the dealership you know the background and what you think of them for trying to sell it to you. As I sadi earlier - too good to be true - it is usually is..

Rustynuts
I found a Silver Seat Altea at CarGiant last year. It had all the things I wanted but was about a grand too expensive. Rather than drive down and find it was a dog, they wouldn't haggle any, it was damaged etc. I called them up and told them straight up what my budget was and would they come anywhere near it for price? I explained that I was willing to drive 200 odd miles to buy it if they could deal at my budget so what did the fella say? He'd have to talk to his boss and would ring me back. 2 hours later I called back and actually spoke to "the boss" 'cos he answered the phone. I explained what I'd said to his staff and asked if he could get near to my budget. He'd have to look in the file and see what he could do and he'd call me back. Next day I called again and spoke to someone else, explained the situation again, and she went into the sales pitch of sorting finance out, it would be valeted, mot'd, and it was a really nice car. I asked her what colour it was, and she didn't know. Then I said I was prepared to come and look at it if they could get close to my budget and she said she's have to talk to the boss and she'd call me back. 2 hours later I called again and asked if they had any Silver Seat Alteas in stock for round about 8 grand, and the lad said he'd have to check the stock list and he'd call me back. I called again and said I desperately wanted a Silver Seat Altea, and I had one on the screen in front of me (on their website) but I wanted to know if they could drop 8 hundred off the price. She said she'd have to speak to the boss and would call me... " ASK HIM NOW AND I'LL STAY ON THE FECKIN LINE, LOVE!" 5 minutes later she comes back and says that the car isn't actually here yet and she can't understand why it's on the website. So she couldn't really be any more help, but if I wanted to come in and have a look they had lots of other Silver cars to look at.
