Waylander
I have a selection of movies on my hdd and some kids' programs. my son used to be able to watch all of the above on the pc before [rebuild etc] Now the hdd movies either don't play [codec issues] or all I get is the audio but no video. The physical dvd plays with video but no sound [all of the above on WMP11] I recall I used to have the "klite codec pack" previously and didn't install it on this build. What do I need to do to get these to playback again? I presume I need to get windvd or powerdvd installed but will that be enough to allow dvd playback with WMP11? Thanks

Waylander
I have it but I also wanted the codecs in place to allow WMP11 to play avi and dvds. Sorted it. I installed xvid and AC3 filter.
