ahaydock
Here are a few more pictures of a Victoria Sample wax that I have managed to get my grubby little paws on. There are no before or during pics as this wasn’t a detail but just a coat of wax to see how it looked. Here was my wash process: 1. Soak in CYC SSF then rinse with PW. 2. Wash with CG Maxi Suds II, 2BM, GG and then PW rinse. 3. Dry with Sonus Drying Towel and Megs LT. 4. Apply new wax with Megs Foam Pad and buffed with a Monster Fluffy. 5. Dressed tyres with Surf City Garage ‘Better than Black’ Tyre Spray (another sample – with another review to come soon). 6. Windows with Megs Glass Concentrate. I must say Victoria Concours is one of my favourite waxes – I love the glossy finish it leaves. I also find it easy to work with and it offers reasonable durability. I know very little about this new wax in terms of name, release date or price etc, but I can say having now seen the car fully in daylight (I applied it in my garage) the finish is very impressive and it offers that glossy look I love from the Concours. If I had to rate the two in terms of looks (to early to tell anything else yet) I would say this new wax has the edge. Here are just a few pics for you to look at and if I am honest these pics don’t really do the finish any justice. If I can, I may get another coat down this weekend a few better pics. In my garage: Thanks for looking.
MajorH
Is this a high end high cost product?
wyliss
Looks stunning. I have just purchased some SCG tyre dressing, how did you find it?
ahaydock
Major_H: Not sure TBH but I would imagine it may be pitched above the exisitng waxes but I got no details with it. dibbs26: Thanks. I found it very easy to apply and liked the finish it gave, but I guess I will know at the end of the week how it holds up compared to my usual Megs Endurance Gel. I will do a separate write up on it and Paul at Wonder Detail kindly supplied me the sample.
drpellypo
The vics wax is still in pre-production, and as yet, so far as I know, we don't have any details about pricing etc. But I do believe it is going to more into the premium market. However... Victoria tend not to follow the tradition of massively over inflating the price of a wax.
steelwind101
That looks nice! The problem is with red Vic wax (concours) being so good this new wax would have be so so much better to be worth it.
ahaydock
Here we go guys a few more pics of this new Victoria Wax sample on my GF's Clio, after nothing but a wash. Still just as easy to apply and remove as before with that lovely glossy finish:
