Sparky
Does anyone happen to know if the n70 works in the states (Florida) at all? I've a friend going there in April and he wants to know if it'll work or it's not worth taking. Cheers

Sparky
Thanks I'd heard reports that some operators don't support texting/answerphone services so wasn't sure.
fingermouse
just make sure you tell your operator not to ring you I got loads of calls in the middle of the night off vodaphone, some automated some not. Then they charged me for them ......
burble
Texting will work fine as long as the message centre number is defined as +447.. rather than 07.. but that's the norm so I'd be surprised if it were a problem. Answerphone services will work anywhere in the world but depending on what network you're on you might not be able to use your normal shortcode (121, 242 or whatever) so you may need to get the alternative number to access it in. In the case of Vodafone that'll be the number that sends you a text when you have a voicemail.
Sparky
It's mainly for texting, and it's on the 3 service. Was concerned the phone would work. Not worried about Answerphone services. Many thanks.
