w1how Posted April 11, 2008 Report Share Posted April 11, 2008 A friend has a 57 reg Audi S8 and is having trouble locating new tyres for it.The size is 265/35/20 Bridgestone.The only quote he has been able to get is from Audi and they want around £1400 for 4.Nobody else seems to be able to get hold of them.Can anyone help??? I'vew got those on my S8 (factory fitment), and I don't like them as much as the Conti SportContact I had on my last S8. I really struggled to find 265/35 R20 tyres at a sensible price this time last year, but I did get some 275/35 R20 Contis on quite a bit cheaper, and they're close enough in size that the rotation counter (for the speedo and nav dead reckoner) apparently doesn't need adjusting, as the adjustment is smaller than the step size. I had no problem with rubbing etc, and the slight bit of extra sidewall bulge stopped me getting any more kerb rashes on those lovely 20" wheels...
