Hi Chaps,

Firstly - apologies for the delay. It's partly my fault, I'll happily admit.

The order has now been fulfilled, and Megs are sending the speed glaze with an additional G220 I had to order as my courier company cleverly lost two! The G220 is coming in in two weeks, so I will update the forum with instructions for getting your speed glaze then.

Thanks for the update.

Can I ask a few questions/get users comments as related....

I've had a quick try with my 220...not as hard to use as expected but I suspect I may have been using too much pressure on the pads....as they have started to tear away following the line of the felt pad...so guess may not last that long....my bad??

It was on VAG paint, that just was not shifring the swirls...and there were'nt many to start with...so thought I must be using it too lightly. Probably me not using enough polish/not letting it work in etc., and the megs UK board suggest ( I now read) that as the UK one weighs more than the US one - self weight is all that's needed...in most cases.

Had a look over at detailingworld, and as I can't yet post there....but that's what it sounds like.....

Second - and most worrying - there are lots of reports of failed 220's almost a 50% fail!!! some of them on machine 3 already....has anyone here had issues?

sorry for the delay in getting back to you chap; have been mad busy and don't get much of a chance to check on here.

You don't need to put much pressure, and indeed, if you're not getting correction then you need to step up your pad/polish combo. Did you use the cutting pad? If not, try that. Bare in mind a DA isn't going to always give you 100% correction vs a rotary which is a lot more of a powerful machine.

Re failures, a relatively small number have failed, nowhere near 50%. Megs will just replace it though - no questions asked. Part of the reason there is such a stock shortage at the mo.

From an outsiders point of view, I think you have been more than reasonable, I would be seriously pissed off by now had I been involved. I hope everything gets sorted for you.

5 MONTHS!!!

Thats absolutely shocking.....Can't you get your cash back?

I just want to clarify that i have had my g220, its the speed glaze which was out of stock when we received the first part of the order, it might be a small relatively inexpensive part of the order but it is paid for for nevertheless. the fact is that drpellyo seems to have vanished and nobody can get hold of him, i am not on here to insult anyone but it would be nice to know what is going on.

Not quite vanished, he was touting some brushes on here the other day im sure! Alas, maybe mods could sort this one out. He used the same name on Detailing World, he might be contactable on there.

Unfortunately I agree, whilst he was extremely helpful and proactive in getting the G220 units sent out, he now just seems to have ignored all contact. I was looking forward to getting the glaze when he started this thread.

Fingers crossed all will come good but the longer we wait the lower the confidence levels are becoming.

I was happy to support fellow forum members, and with the popularity of the DA some delays were inevitable....and Megs did not do well when the first batches started to fail....mine has been fine so far....but the glaze issue I don't get....

I got some from one of the online retailers...just could not wait any longer to get going....and had no issue obtaining it....IS it megs direct that have the problem??? Can we the GB people still waiting help Drpellypo to put pressure on them....and get something out of them for the very long delay....

Drp...we'll help support you...but you need to tell us what's going on now....

I too still have yet to hear any news. I agree with you cactus in that everyone has been supportive in the GB delays and happy with the initial deal Paul organised.

He used to be a regular poster on here but the last couple of months it would appear he has elected not to visit the forum.

I am going to try one last pm and before making a phone call to him. Some what frustrating as the last we heard was that he was getting the glaze.

Chaps of the G220 GB - did any of us get the Polish/Glaze?

I've not been able to contact drpellypo here or other forums he was on and before we ask an admin to get involved can you confirm if your order was completed / what you are still waiting for:

Cactusgreen - megs #80

paul_tdi - megs #80
