Precab
Hi guys - hope somebody can shed some light on this. I've noticed that at low speeds, and especially on full lock, there is a loud metallic clicking/ ticking noise (best way I can describe it is it sounds like metal cooling down). This seems to happen mainly when the engine is cold, but I've noticed it at all temperatures. Drivability seems unaffected, but I'm aware the warranty will expire in a couple of months! It's a 55reg 1.8T S-Line Cab with Multitronic. What do you think?
MrAvant
Sounds stupid but have you checked that there are no stones stuck in your tyres??
kite
Could be a CV joint !
Precab
thanks guys - first thing I did was check there weren't any stones in the tyres - caught me out before... Not sure about the CV joint - would I notice any other problems? Noticed tonight that both small aerofoils on the front bumper in front of the tyres are now hanging off. They don't seem to want to reattach - do I persevere or rip them off?
