Call Of Duty 5 Details Emerge - TrustedReviews

I'm loving that flame thrower :devil::devil:

I'm just rubbish with the SixAxis controller on the PS3, when I used to play CoD and MoHAA on PC, I was **** hot (and modest to boot!)... but just can't get the hang of aiming with the right stick.

I hired CoD:4 from Swapgame for a while, but I may buy this version and a mouse.

Looks to me to be pre COD4 but post COD3.

No idea on release date but wasn't COD4 released in Nov'07 so I guess it will be November onwards at the earliest.

hmm yeah, november is likely i guess, to hit xmas sales etc..

5 month buildup is quite a bit though...it better be worth the wait

Im not sure about anybody else but this is probably the game I play most on my PlayStation3......

What would be uber cool is if they made a add-on gun...... with force-feedback action...... and sniper scope too!

Oh and body vest which mimic`s gunshots!!!

Riz

Co-op campaign does sound good. I'm one of those of the opinion that co-op with mates is the real point of online games. Deathmatch with whining kids and faux gangsta boys isn't worth my time, let alone my Live subscription.

Somebody asked on page one about the time period. It's set towards the end of the war. Americans fighting the Japanese across various Pacific islands and the Russians fighting their way into Berlin. But as anyone who knows their history will recognise those are still chronologically distinct periods. Berlin had fallen and the Japanese continued fighting for some time afterwards. So there won't be the sense of two campaigns working towards the same goal that CoD4 had.

You need to put it on eBay, play MGS4 because it's one of the top 3 best games i've ever played. And then buy a 360 with COD4, you'll enjoy it more than on PS3.

Oh and body vest which mimic`s gunshots!!!

The Future is here!!

3rd Space FPS Vest

First Person Shooter battle vest which imitates gunshots, minus the colossal amounts of blood and pain and eventually death :)

No no dont bring it out yet,, im still trying to get to the last prestige.....ahhhhhhh

I managed to get to Prestige 10 level 55 last week, by the time I get all the golden guns COD5 should be out.

Infinity Ward are rumoured to be releasing more game types, like multi-bomb sabotage, and possibly more maps for COD4. This is one game I will not be trading in for a long time.

COD5 has a lot to live up to, looking at some of the clips on youtube got to say I'm not that impressed, but having an online co-op campaign is a bonus. Lets hope they manage not to have the same online issues COD4 suffered from early on.

Cheers,

Al

but having an online co-op campaign is a bonus.

For me this usually makes the single player incredibly boring. Because if you're playing with your mates you can usually just walk through the campaign very quickly. And Call of Duty isn't exactly known for being difficult or lengthy on the campaign.

This was the case in Halo 3, playing it on legendary difficulty with 3 other friends was just pointless. Completed it in 7 hours. Multiplayer was a waste of time, so i've never played it since.

I do agree it has a lot to live up to though. Personally I prefer the modern day setting to a WW2 setting. If it isn't as good, i'll just go back to playing COD4.
