TDiAvant
Well Dave has every right to "s bin" it. I've had trouble coding cruise control using VAG-COM, so some unknown "coder" (crap IMO) software could also have the same problem. Everything you need to know about coding cruise is on the ross tech wiki.

It works fine for me, quick connect to ECU's reads everything and works on coding. The reason I couldn't get mine to work was a faulty clutch switch. This is what the pro's use on the other side of the planet.

PetrolDave
You don't even know what it is and you s bin it! It works perfectly. Reads everything and stores vehicle data everything vag_com does. As a moderator on a website that specialises in retofitting Audi sat nav systems I have seen and experienced a lot of so-called fully functional VAG diagnostic tools and only VAG-COM has come up to scratch. For you to say that VAG-COM has failed is a total distortion of the truth. BTW there's a lot more to setting up VAG modules than just coding, most of the configuration is done by adaptation channel settings. myomu - you really DO have an attitude problem. If you were less aggressive and more willing to listen then the large number of experts on here would be willing to help you. Personally, I'm going to join the (growing) group who can't be bothered to deal with your misplaced aggressive attitude.

I have rise control, like I said clutch switch faulty, so I know about adaption, coding etc. It's you lot that are deadset in your ways and not able to accept change and possible new items that may even be better! What can I say, if you can't accept fact the by all means don't talk to me. It's no loss! The tool I'm using works fact! I too have over 22 years experience of using BMW dealership tools so I actually know a thing or to beleive it or not. But like you I haven't the time to keep debating pointless quibbling with the likes of you. Moderate if you have to. Pointless having open to new members if you have simplistic views all the same. That's why we have democracy, thankfully. I think I'll un-subscribe now so as I don't keep getting emails telling me of replies and then I won't have to keep reading the clans points of view! LOL!
