Have a look at the config of your cable modem (http://192.168.100.1/CmOpConfig.asp) and see what that says. The username and password are both root. Where abouts are you? I know VM are trialling 50Mbit in parts of Kent but to be on that trial you would have had to have a new modem installed as the 50Mbit service uses DOCSIS 3.0 as opposed to DOCSIS 2.0 which only supports 43ish Mbit or just over 53Mbit with EuroDOCSIS 2.0. burble Posted July 12, 2008 Report Share Posted July 12, 2008 Sorry, no idea - I don't have a Motorola cable modem. I'm fairly sure that the modem you have doesn't support EuroDOCSIS so it'll never give you the 2nd, 3rd or 4th speed test results you posted.
