stig414
Has anyone fitted front pdc to a 4f chassis A6? I own one currently with front and rear park, but am looking to swap to another, but unlike A8's they generally only have rear park. Is it really arkward to do? I can do most things, but was just wondering how much of the car I would need to strip to install the loom. I wonder if I should wait to get one with it factory installed. craigyb
It's not the easiest of retrofits, I think "Gtiller" has done it. Basically 4 new sensors, holes cutting in bumper, pre marked. Painting of the sensors, holders from an A8 glued into the bumper rear. Wiring loom into the car and switch in the dash for on/off PDC, then cables run to the rear of the car for the PDC controller. Some coding with VAG and your done, I think your PDC controller needs to support front/rear parking sensors and optical.
stig414
Cheers Craig, does sound more of a pain than I can be bothered with I think. Interestingly have come across another, well spec'd apart from no nav or BT. It has full MMI though, how long a job is that to fit, its an avant. Craig, you'll get the job if I get the car as you did BT on my current one, and are relatively local.
craigyb
BT and Nav can be done within a couple of hours for both, you can have SAP or standard bluetooth.
