_Tone_
Hi Guys I was wondering if any one uses any film libraries liek Love Film? I have started buying a few HD titles but am seriously thinking of renting some films because I simply wont watch most of these again and again. Therfore the question is which if any are the best film libraries to consider and are there any tricks I should watch out for? Thanks Tone
jpullen
Can't really comment on other DVD postal services but we have Lovefilm and can't really find any fault. We have one film at a time and if we send it back on day 1 by day 4we have the next one. Always work ok and seem to have a good choice.
Ritey
I guess iTunes movie rental doesn't do what you want?
_Tone_
Dave Really looking for BlueRays - should have said - having invested in all this HD stuff I have decided I would rather borrow/rent films then continually buying them. Downloading BD's are very large 8-22GB so not really an option for me. Hence a rental service - as most of them now rent BD's. Cheers Tone

sidicks
We have Lovefile and have been very impressed - I think we pay £3.99 a month for 2 DVDs, as we don't generally find time to watch any more than that. I have pool / cinema room with HD projector and PS3 so ocassionally we will order a Blueray disc. Most of the time my wife and I are happy to stay in the lounge and watch a 'normal' DVD on the Plasma, but i have now ordered a new laptop with Blueray disc player, so going forward we will probably be ordering everything on Blueray and then deciding where to watch it. I did have a free trial voucher for Love Film that you could have - let me see if I can find it.....!! Sidicks
patently
We've been using the Amazon service for quite a while, now part of the lovefilm service. We love it...
bells0
Been a bit naughty and on my 2nd free 90 day trial with Lovefilm. Very good service so far, on the unlimited 2 at a time package. Is a 2 day turnaround from sending a film back. Problem is finding enough movies to have in your list!
_Tone_
Cheers for the responses chaps - quite useful to know what you all do in the spare time! I have been offered a trial so I will give it a go - stop me buying these bloody discs! I got a largish box of DVD's in the garage which I have now Ripped to my NAS and using Media Centre can view anyone of them without having to fetch the disc! I love it. Apparently it can be done with BD's but am yet to learn how that works! I have purchased about 10 BD's and probably 15 HD-DVD's been buying them up for just £4 a pop as the stocks run down on that fading platform! I wanted Die Hard 4 - apparently the DTS-MA audio track is something else - and the girlfriend has not seen it so sounds like one to obtain. I purchased 30 Days of Night as this was another good disc with DTS-MA audio and it was thunderous! Gonna watch "The Orphanage" tomorrow (well tonight) see what that's like. How many of you guys use a Playstation 3 for BD playback? I have a Sony Vaoi with BD player but its HDMI port wount output any of the newer HD audio tracks so picked up the PS-3. Very good going through my Onkyo onto the old Sony PJ i have. I was wondering if we wanted to swap some movies - sort of TSN Love Film? They do it on AVforums but thats such a huge forum now that there are loads of people becaoming members everyday that makes it diff to trust everyone! Anyway better get off to bed just gone 2am. cheers Tone
Gren
Been using Lovefilm for 3 or 4 years now and can't fault them. Like you, I'm not one for watching movies over and over again so very rarely buy one. Paying £15 a mnth for 3 at a time unlimited rentals and watch around 3 discs a week. Every now and then I take a 'holiday' from and freeze my account so that I don't run out of stuff to watch! Can't comment on their HD content but see it growing all the time.
