RedRobin
Hi burble - I had forgotten that you had had them and there's a guy on a dedicated GTI forum who has just got them and is also pleased so far. Did you get yours from TTshop?
petsy
I wonder if this will mean that RR now has a hugh carbon footprint...
RedRobin
I wonder if this will mean that RR now has a hugh carbon footprint... ....Don't you mean a "huge" carbon footprint? - I think I achieved that a long long time ago.
RedRobin
HOW MUCH!!! imo some people have more money than sense. You could get custom ones made over here out of whatever you wanted cheaper. Each to there own though but i think they are way too expensive for what they are. ....US-$ 233 = £ 128 approx. That'll be without shipping and UK tax but, as the pics show, they're very well designed and made. They look oem and something made here would probably take forever to get made and not work out that much cheaper.

Nope, I ordered mine directly from TID in South Korea. Apparently mine was the first order they'd shipped to the UK. The double sided tape works really well, mine are showing no signs of falling off. RedRobin
....The term "double sided tape" puts off some people but they underestimate the advances in adhesive technology. Good to hear that yours are strong - Thanks

Don't know how much you are paying for shipping but you could have got them here with free shipping for 275 Australian dollars. Good to hear that yours are strong - Thanks Yeah, I'll admit that I was expecting some crappy tape that would fall off within days but the stuff that TID supply is (apparently) a new type of 3M tape that really feels like it'll do the job. I thought that I would try the paddles out with the tape and then bond them on properly if I decided I wanted to keep them on there. I don't see the need to bond them on as they're well and truely stuck on.

(end time 12-Sep-08 10:41:27 AEST) ....Thanks for the helpful info, petsy, but I don't buy anything off eBay - I simply don't trust it. I'm not directly paying shipping or tax anyway and they'll be here in next couple of days. I've just worked out that I'm getting them cheaper than via eBay from Oz and without all the importing hassle and inevitable delays.

burble
Got a link to the review on Tyresmoke for the GTI Ed 30? I'm curious to see what others are making of them. I made the mistake of not removing the labels on the back and am regretting it now - they have peeled just a tiny bit which is rubbing against my fingers and annoying me. I shall remedy that soon. burble
On the review you wrote on the Biali forums you mentioned that you saw a review on TSN from an Ed 30 owner - I was wondering if you could give me a link to that review. burble
Thanks I see you're getting a Quaife ATB fitted! I'll be looking around golfgti.co.uk for your report afterwards as a friend of mine is battling with his bank manager (AKA The Wife) over him getting one.
