Golfer
Well my car has not arrived at the stealers and they "Have no idea where it is in transit" It is coming from the states they now tell me, first they said from germany!! They have only a stock delivery number on there system and against this it just says "In transit" I would have thought they would have information on just where it was; ie; in the UK or on the ship. Your thoughts?.
rottenbend
Does that mean it was made in the US?
Cuprabob
Sounds as though they are using Citylink for the shipping. Problem is no one speaks to anyone anymore and the information they have will be exactly what someone has typed into the computer.

tom_hargreaves
The X3, X5, X6 and Z4 are all made in the US. They always have been. That's why lead times are generally longer. They come over on a ship which can get held up for several days depending on weather conditions or production problems at their end. You never know, it might be Silver with Beige Leather and wood when it turns up

superman_okuk
Hi golfer what made you get rid of the 635DS for one of these?
Golfer
Hi golfer what made you get rid of the 635DS for one of these? Basically, the rear seating was very uncomfortable for the family in the 635DS, you are jammed in and there is NO adjustment in the seats at all, otherwise I loved it, this X6 35D however is in a league of it's own, it's like nothing else on the road today, I have never seen so many people stop and look at a Car. I love the way it drives, just flys round bends.:D Edited September 19, 2008 by Golfer

Cupramax
Agree, from certain angles it looks great but side on the roof looks to high over front seats.
Merlot
I will not be buying one but I think they look great. Personally I would take a 4WD 535d Touring if they could be bothered to send one over in RHD.

The only real drawback I have found is "Parking" I am lucky at the Golf Club, the boss lets me use his large spot, around town you have to be choosey. The car really handles well, it's getting better with use.
Se5aScott
Looks good Don't know why people are so hung up on the shape, the roofline reminds me of the rally raid motors.
