okay, new PC arrives today or tomorrow, when ever they feel like delivering it....

Anyway, was looking at replacing my current setup, still on a cable (ADSL) setup.

Now I've been looking at one of these D-Link DKT-810 Wireless jobbies, any recommendations ?

I'm on unlimited broadband with Orange via an ADSL modem all connected currently via cables.

TIA +++

Use Netgear wireless routers at home and office - never had a problem, super reliable and easy to set up.

I concur. The Netgear kit is particularly easy to set up and is pretty reliable. Linksys, whilst a bit more expensive, is also worth considering.

My experience of DLink is that it's dog**** to be honest. We used to sell a fair bit of DLink kit and a massive percentage of it hit the returns desk.

When I used to do the London Computer Fairs, we used to get much of the D-Link stuff back. We stopped selling them and concentrated on Netgear - which hardly ever came back. If it did, it was the mains PSU that was the problem.

I have a DG834G - utterly reliable. 2 yrs so far without an issue. Powered up most days and powered down each evening.

Yep. Had a Netgear PSU go on me a couple of years back. Netgear couriered a whole new boxed router to me around 3 days later within warranty. Otherwise it was solid.
