craigyb
Is that aimed at anyone on the forums? We are not the sort of chaps/chapesses who go around breaking into houses and nicking peoples S3's and belongings So it won't be me next time. Cupramax
I doubt it but there will no doubt be plenty of low lives trolling the forums on the look out for high spec cars to nick...

Cuprabob
Sorry to hear you got your S3 stolen but for once the guy got his just deserve, just hope it was painful. Knowing this country his family will be sueing you for having a high performance car for their poor boy to steal. I mean if you had bought a Focus he wouldn't have stolen it therefore it's ultimately your fault:ffs:
MattS3
Do you not think someone getting killed is little sad for all the family he's left behind? Fair game someone's nicked a car and had an accident and maybe hurt themseleves, but the guy is dead ffs. Sure, people shouldn't nick cars, and i'd be gutted if mine was stolen, but i'd get no satisfaction from knowing the thief had died. (although if he broke a leg or an arm and hurt no-one else, I'd think that was better justice)
Cuprabob
I agree I was a it over the top and do sympathise with the victim's family however the guy as obviously driving like an idiot and oul have easily killed inncent people. What if he had hit another car or run into a bus stop ??? I do have some experience as a young idiot who had been banned tried to go round a sharp corner at the end of a long straight in excess of 80mph on a B road and hit my sister's car head on after he lost it. Lucky for her she was driving her husband's Vectra and not her KA as normal. I don't have any sympathy for these people at all
nordberg
I feel sorry for the guys family but I have zero sympathy for the guy himself. He could have just as easily lost the car in a corner and ploughed into a car full of kids killing them instead. Sorry, it may be harsh but I think he got what was coming to him. MattS3
What I was trying to say was in this instance he didn't really get what he deserved. Sure, if he'd had taken another life, then maybe the outcome would have been more deserved. I think you need to look at the chances of his mates now stealing cars has declined considerably. It sure is a hard way for them to learn a lesson though.

Sure it's sad someone has died, but c'mon, if he wasn't breaking in to houses, twoc'ing cars and racing away from the scene he wouldn't have ended up in this situation. How is this situation any less deserved just because an innocent party was not involved? It is sad for the family he's left behind, as they probably didn't know he was out in the middle of the night taking other peoples property, but have very little sympathy for the thief frankly. There is another S3 reported stolen on ASN, will post details in a second
L60N
Dood, im sorry your S3 got stolen, and some scumbags brains ended up all over it. Let it be a lesson I say. Hope you get a nice new car soon!
jwo
TBH - if they die whilst commiting various acts of burglary, twoc etc (and probably prepared to injury you in process), then i have no sympathy at all. It saves nhs treatment cost and prison costs. If they were caught they would get a rehab order (happened to my local car thief, 26 tics including our s3 - 1 year drug rehab) or something equally pathetic, at worse go to tax payers hotel (aka prison)and learn more 'skills' and have playstations, tv etc. Yes my views may be nasty, harsh, hard etc. but at least they are realistic. I work hard for my toys and expect them to remain mine!!

Nelson_R32
That's a shocking story; to be woken up at 2:30am in the morning and be told someones just died in your car that you didn't even know had left your driveway With regards to whether the person deserved it or not; you need to be driving like a complete moron to kill yourself in a new car nowadays (I should know) so he must have been putting many other peoples lives at risk as well as his own. Have they allowed you access to your car yet? Not for some morbid pleasure I might add, to retrieve some of your items I mean? Its strange that the number of thefts has rocketed in the last couple of months on R32's and S3's  This is why I made sure my car was GAP'd and Trackered. I also have the benefit of being able to keep the car out of view and parked behind other cars. Almost theftproof
_Tone_
Sorry to hear about your car - IMH the guy that nicked it got what he deserved - at least he wont be able to wreck another persons life if he was still around. Self inflicted death sentance - I too have very little sympathy for him - his family can't control his actions and the public should'nt be too concerned for his family if the bloody idiot isn't? Anyone who breaks into a house to steal anything and then your car should endup like this - I'm blunt but I've had a car stolen in a similar fashion and apart from a replacement car the whole experience was shocking.. steve2
we have just watched it too and the driver had only been out of prison a short while and he was over twice the legal drink drive limit so although he died the roads will be safer, we dont have to waste our taxes on him but his family are left to mourn every day Edited April 6, 2009 by steve2
