Fazzzman
I wanted to open up this query to any other owners of a 170 diesel engine, which I had initially posted in the A3 section... http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/audi-a3-s3-cabrio/110851-170-sportback-dpf-problems.html
Tipex
We have constant problems with the DPF on our Skoda's, mainly the 140bhp 2.0 tdi's and more the Superb than the Octavia. It's easily sorted though, rag the t*ts of it, red line it every now and again, and some full throttle acceleration from low RPM, using all the torque going up a steep hill in 2nd/3rd, and creating as much smoke as possible always clears it. I'm suprised you get the problem considering your daily commute, ours are all taxi's so lots of stop/start town driving.
dr1deck
My DPF light came on when I filled up once with a small brand fuel from a village garage. I assume it doesnt have the cleaning additives you get in the main brands like Shell.
