AudiPartner
What a morning. Going in to the back of someone isn't the best start to the day is it?? Fortunately not too fast, and fortunately only in to the back of a Fiat 500. Boy that 6th former was mad!! Oh well, sh17 happens. So I now have some pretty bad scuffs to remove. I'm sure it will need paint, but that can wait until the summer I reckon - plus I'll have a few more stone chips by then. What is the best product for really cutting in to the paint and removing the scuffs?
steelwind101
Hello Opps! Sorry to hear about the accident. Really what can be correct and what cant be depends on what damage has occured. The scuffs; these are normally transfer between softpaint and hard paint. Have you got black or Fiat coloured marks on your car? If so then you dont require polish to get them out, you need a clay. This will remove the "paint transfer", after which you might well need to bring back some shine. Are you going by hand or machine? If you have barepaint or plastic (or you can see the primer) then your not going to make those better with anything less then paint. However if you just have scratches and grazes paintwork then a good polish should make a lot of difference. If you have pics i can advise you more to what you will need. Tarmac_Terrorist
Surely at that age in a Fiat 500 it must be a girly. Sorry to hear of your prang AP - surely you can't leave it until the Summer on a great car like that. I'd be down the paint shop faster than a whores drawers. Might be worth getting it checked over for damage behind the bumper / splitter as these parts are often designed to flex and could have been initially pushed back hard. ahaydock
Sorry to hear about that. As above a Clay and some Tar Remover is a good start to removing the paint transfer. As for the rest will it be hand or machine?

steelwind101
hi anaydock, does clay and some Tar Remover work out ??? The clay and tar will just tidy up any transfer, it wont restore paintwork or remove scatches.
ahaydock
hi anaydock, does clay and some Tar Remover work out ??? As Geoff has said it will help shift the transfer but wont tidy up the scratches/scuffs - that will require a polish.
