Google search is doing strange things for me

I seem to have a problem with Google search

Any search I enter seems to come back with just a whole list of affilaite style click thru sites, with no paid for listing at either the top or the right hand side of the search.

I can only assume it's some sort of virus? of could it be linked to my toolbar? Reason I say it could be linked to my toolbar is that, if I switch search providers within IE7, to Yahoo for example, still the same list of affiliates seems to be returned.

If however, I go directly to Yahoo, and do a search, the results then come back in the correct format.

Whats going on !!??

Does it work normally if you go to the main Google web site?

If it were me, I would try removing the Google toolbar and re-installing it.

No, the problem is with Google itself, not just from the IE searchbar.

Really confusing. It seems like it may be a Google related virus, or anything related to it.

Like I say, I f I go direct to Yahoo, the results are fine.

I read of something like this recently, and deleting all the browser cookies fixed it for him.

Cleared cookies, but no joy.

System restored to 3 days ago, and all is good.
