JonC Posted December 23, 2008 Report Share Posted December 23, 2008 These used to don E30's and MK1 & II GTI's in the "old days" and were left in the vertical position when not in use. Was thinking about having one fitted, (but not leaving it in the vertical position). Bit chavvy nowadays, or still old skool? What's people's thoughts? Cuprabob Posted December 24, 2008 Report Share Posted December 24, 2008 IIRC the reason for it on the race cars was for aerodynamics and to reduce drag howver on the MKV the wipers are tucked below the bonnet out of the airflow.
