Cuprabob
I mus admit I would have thought at 5-11 you would have found the 400 small. I'm 5-8 and have no problems with a GSXR1000 I don't think you can go wrong with either a ZXR400 or CBR400.
Avus_Bub
I wish I were 5'11 I'm 5'3 and have to get on with my GSXR1000:p I'd go for a Honda VFR or RVF400, that V4 is a peach of an engine
SneakyMcC
The CBR is the best bike going by them in the know! Thats as a road bike. The ZXR has a weak cam and/or head gasket issue. They last 20k miles. I am very old and my mammary...I mean memory aint what it was, so I cant remember which. This was one of the sites I used: 400greybike.co.uk Bike Chat Forums : First bike ZXR400, CBR400, Some sports 400 or other I bought an NC29 for a friend. They're tiny bikes. I'm 1" taller than you, but I have long legs (calm down Avus!) and a short body. May be you have shorter legs/longer body? CBR all the way m8! Veracocha
The problem with 400greybike is that there is a divide between zxr and all other owners so if you ask you will get a different opinion depending on who you ask. I owned an nc35, which is known to be one of the better 400's. It handled fantastically but the engines performance was pretty poor. My engine blew up so I had to buy and fit a new one which was no quicker. My brother had a zxr400 which was substantially faster than any other type of 400, including the CBR400. And to be honest the handling was not much different to the RVF. The engine blew on the zxr400 was well. I think that 400's are not worth it anymore. You pay through the nose as they are generally very unreliable and parts aren't plentyfull and you get nailed by most sports cars over 200bhp. I would go for the zxr. Its quicker and handles as well as the Honda bunch of 400s. On the other hand, modern sports 600s are not that much bigger than 400s and when I got my r6 after the RVF400, it was like night and day. There was no comparison....the r6 was twice as fast and handled as well, with stronger brakes and complete reliability.

Tiny12
Get a Supermoto!!!! far more fun than 400 or a 600ish bike
SiAudiSline
Doesnt answer your question but I found this video a bit ago when I was planning a cadwell park track day. ZXR400 is having a right battle with the big boys though his taste in music is is not the best!
