cabby
 yep, hammerite - applied to the body and hood of an XK convertible by a less than happy wife who is about to become his ex. Looks like it is the non-metallic type if it makes any difference. Are there any products that would shift this or is it a professional job? JonC
Professional job, I'm afraid. Then report the b1tch to the Police
cabby
Cheers - thought so. Having seen some pictures I think it's an insurance job. Hood, boot, bonnet (run into engine bay). Police were called straight away. Should be good ammo for upcoming divorce :openfire:
steelwind101
Hi, It might well come off, Hammer right is paint? You would need some strong overspray clay, the Meguiars sell it. It in itself will marr the paintwork has a not very fine you would then need to machine polish afterwards to restore the gloss. Even if you have a repsray it will most probably be dreadful and require two stage machine polish (if not wet sanding!) to restore it anyway! cabby
Thanks Geoff - didn't think it would be an easy DIY job. Leave to one to the professional me thinks.
