So, pick my car up tomorrow A6 2.7Tdi Quattro Sline. and first thing I want to do is get my ipod in and hear the sweet Bose upgrade speakers sing with Rick Astley and BlackLace. (anyone for Agadoo!!??) Basically, I just wanted the positive and negatives of the two systems. Hopefully, Craigyb will chip in with some views... Dension Gateway 500, fitted around 30, faulty returns 4 Audi AMI with Ipod lead, fitted around 100, faulty returns 1 That's why the AMI is better in my opinion. Picked up car yesterday and its a lovely thing, never thought would be an Audi...always thought would be a merc man....:confused: Was going to call you today to book in the car (for AMI now!!) - Also, I think the MMI might need updating or something?... i dont know much about it all but I read some threads. - My sat nav doesnt do the 3D option and i cant see where to do a postcode search or even, when i put my home addres in - when I type in door number it says 1-77 or 2-78 as options and thats it!? - Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I would guess that out of the 10's of thousands of members on here only half a dozen or so would have had experieince of both. So to not have a reply for such a specific question, asking something that only a handful of people in the country probably know I think you did well to get the replies you did. For what it's worth I have the Dension in mine, and I fitted a couple in BMWs, they're crap!! Mine is throwing faults up whenever I plug it in, I didn't install it though the dealer did so not sure if the power has been taken from an incorrect location, it is throwing an error on the auto wipers/lights. But I would always go with a factory option rather than some 3rd party option. I was told they were fitting the AMI, got there and they had fitted the Dension, I had two of them sat at home, could have fitted that myself, to be fair though they didn't charge me and let me keep it.
