Before I ring Audi, I just wanted some info from the peeps in the know. Wizbit Posted March 30, 2009 Report Share Posted March 30, 2009 (edited) yes it took about 5 minutes with VAG-COM to re-enable the two missing features, but you obviously need to find someone with VAG-COM in order to do this. I know a local BMW/Audi specialist who has VAG-COM, but they wouldn't have known how to re-enable these features themselves without the instructions Craigyb gave me. But on my A8 it all worked fine and i was back up and running again in about 5-10 mins. It was more worrying that Audi didn't seem to know this, even though they will update your MMI software for you... craigyb Posted March 30, 2009 Report Share Posted March 30, 2009 The reason Audi don't know is that when they apply the software updates, they should also apply the SVM code relevant to the update, this will then recode the car with any missing features automatically, not something the guy did at Audi for free when the A6 was done.
