safety69 Posted April 3, 2009 Report Share Posted April 3, 2009 On my 8L S3, I have found oil residue only a small amount in the silver colour turbo boost pipe where it connects onto the left upper intercooler pipe. I have contacted Audi because the car is under warranty who tell me it is normal. Please can anyone confirm is this is true? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Paul Posted April 3, 2009 Report Share Posted April 3, 2009 Its normal, oily gasses are sent back into the inlet from the crank case to be burnt off by the engine. As long as it isnt flooded, then its perfectly normal. Make sure you give the hoses and pipes a good clean when you refit, or you will blow the hoses off.
