skodas
Is there a chance it could be a faulty load reduction relay?
rmv
Hi, my passat se 2003, when under warranty developed a starting problem (clicking noise but no engine turn over) thought it was battery or something similar; straight into VW for checking / repair. They claimed it was the Ignition switch playing up (corroded actually), and also this was a common problem (God help us for German cars)??? I never did see the replaced part or any other evidence...took only a morning in their shop though. Looking back, the mileage was around 6000 miles plus or 15 months ???? Otherwise not able to help you further.
