RogUK Posted April 17, 2009 Report Share Posted April 17, 2009 Hi guys, had the A8 for 4 months or so now (06, 3.0d), very pleased with it. Had a number of things fixed under warrenty, one being a complete replacement of the steering column as the electric adjustment didn't work. However, I'm trying to setup the auto retraction option when parking up, no matter what position I leave the little button in, nothing happens. The adjustment works, up, down, in and out. Any ideas ? Wizbit Posted April 22, 2009 Report Share Posted April 22, 2009 If you have the steering wheel in the up most position normally, then it won't retract upwards, as its already in the top position. Mine doesn't move when i switch the ignition off, for the above reason. If i set the steering wheel position lower and then switch off the ignition, it retracts upwards.
