jamieg
Just a word of caution really, I purchased a connects2 USB/MP3/AUX device that plugs into the CD port of my stereo and this product allows playback of MP3's by what ever method you choose, the snag with this product is that it does not show CD track information, pretty useless really when you can have the equivalent of 6 CD's each with 99 tracks on but you've got no clue what track is playing or coming up next. Just a word of warning really so no-one else purchases this item thinking it should do something it don't.
Cuprabob
From what I understand even the OEM VAG product does not show the track information. It's a short coming of the head unit as opposed to the cable. The interface was designed for the 6CD player which doesn't transmit track data. Everything you've listed is a limitation of the CD changer port on the VAG headunits.
jamieg
WOW I'm really shocked - you would have thought the CD 6 changer was capable of playing like the internal CD Player, I even emailed connects2 and they advised their product does not provide this feature, it has not been programmed to do this. Cheers guys for the info - greatly appreciated.
craigyb
Well Audi are still using the same CD changer interface from 1998, no suprise it doesn't support CD text.
PetrolDave
As already said this isn't the fault of connects2 - it's the ancient implementation of the CD changer port that VAG still use.
