Wizbit
I'm about to start ripping all of my DVDs onto a big hard disk, with the intent of connecting this disk up to a PS3 so i can simply play movies via the console. Question is - will the PS3 recognise a Mac OS formatted disk? I have both Mac and Windows laptops, and i know the PS3 will read NTFS formatted disks, but I'm not sure about Mac OS? I don't want to bother formatting the entire disk and ripping a few movies from my Mac, only to find the PS3 won't read the disk
DHA
Are you just burning as a movie to play in all DVD players or is it a DVD disc with various files on it? If its the former it should play, the latter I suspect you might run into some problems.
Mac
No, it can't read native Mac drives. Copy your movies to a FAT32 or NTFS partition drive and then copy up. Depending on how you're networked up you could just use medialink: Nullriver Software : Products : MediaLink

Mac
I use it - it just works. You can browse all your movies/music and play whatever you want, or use it to transfer stuff to the PS3.
