Magic_Wond
Need some help guys before I start spending money on a problem I'm having with my my 2001 A8 2.8Q (56K miles) .... a recent diagnostic came up with 2 fault codes, first :- BRAKE ABS 01119 P0035 Transmission Range Gear Position Signal Can anyone tell me what might be causing this? Gearbox on goes into limp home when reverse is selected (takes a few seconds to engage then engages witha thump). After switching off and re-starting, the gearbox works fine (no limp home) and car drives normally. Would an ATF & filter change cure the problem? I'm also getting the following code, even though the F125 switch has been inspected and seems fine (no corrosion or dampness etc) :- TRANSMISSION 17090 P0706 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit F125 (Range / Performance Problem) Any advice would be welcome before the problem becomes a money pit.....
