long story on this one... but to fit the lights "physically" you need to grind away part of the front wings... but to fit them technically you need to fabricate a loom to blend the old fitment (round - i think) into the new fitment (oblong - i think)...

assuming it is still running http://www.vagparts.com is a great place for getting the parts... but fior knocking together the loom i don't know!

hi

as colin said the connectors need to be changed from round ones to oblong ones. The old plug needs to be cut off and a new one fitted as i couldn't find a rewirable socket on etka to make a loom that connects the old plug to the new type.

The wires and plugs which you need for the new lights are listed below

A1J0 972 724 plug housing 1.55 each, you need 2

A000 979 133A wires 0.88 each, you need 4 which you can cut in half as their double ended

hi

i think the lights are about £130ish each from audi plus about another £40 for bulbs, but got mine from germany for half that. The wings on the car do need moding for the lights to fit, basically you have to cut away the metal under the indicator but it can be done with just a hacksaw.

The front spoiler is projektzwo and came factory fitted but i think it costs about £250 if you buy it seperatly.

gonna take some photos and do write up on the 'otherside' tommorrow as there is more interest there

cheers

Do a quick search on this subforum, sure you'll find the info. IIRC JORDS did just that. wink.gif

For anyone interested in finding out how to fit the facelift headlights, search under 'New Member' (posted around 6 months ago) where IIRC I (kinda briefly) explained how to do this. Sorry theres no link, im hopeless with them.
