dazb01
I am hoping that someone could possibily help out in diagnosing a problem , I took my Diesel A4 into my usual garage after filling the car with unleaded, only quarter full , my garage dropped the fuel and changed the fuel filter, after a day or so I had 2 warning lights on my Audi A4 05 plate, one is the ESP and the other is the Glow Plug System, I took it back and was told that the throttle body was full of crap, perhaps from the unleaded petrol incident, so it was stripped and cleaned out, when picking up I was told that it wasn't lighting up and see how I go on, a day later and the same 2 warning are back, has anyone any ideas what could be the problem and whats the best route to getting it sorted. Mook
Did you start the car after you mis-fuelled?
maersk
Low pressure pump in the tank starts when you open the door......................................
Mook
That's fine though as long as you don't start the car, as it will only ever get as far as the primary pump before it recirculates back to the tank.

Tipex
It could be something completely unrelated. Do your brake lights work? as the brake light switch failing is a common fault that lights up the coil and ESP lights. Also had it when my steering angle sensor failed. Best get it on VAG-com and see what faults are logged.

I had this problem & was brake light switch too (brake lights still worked) but cruise certainly didn't the car kangerood up the road - at least was an easy fix ! (Showed up on vagcom as implausible signal in the brake light switch)
