aj84 Posted November 11, 2010 Report Share Posted November 11, 2010 Hi all, Earlier on in the year, I got interested in tuning my A6 2.7 TDI Le Mans but left the idea behind me after a few of us decided on the Shark Tuning kit but resulted in no one getting back to me during the offer that they had for the STS. I'm now considering the idea again but can't see anyone who seems to have tuned a 2.7 TDI.... Is this ok to do...is the torque increase an issue on the gearbox? It's a Multi I think (auto with the pedals but could be a tip?). The car is under warranty which is why the STS was a good idea and also it had a new gearbox fitted 6 months ago. I would appreciate if I could get some pointers in whether it is a good idea and who I should go for Thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cruiser647 Posted November 11, 2010 Report Share Posted November 11, 2010 There will be, I think, slightly lower limits on what that CVT gearbox will take in terms of power and torque increases, as opposed to the manual job. The Le Mans will be CVT unless it's a quattro - then it will have the Tiptronic box. If you PM Shark, he WILL get back to you. Whereas I am sure many people have siad they want stuff and then when he has contacted them, they've probably said no - resulting in a waste of his time. So, get in touch with him. It was a very busy time but I'm always careful to answer everything, even if it takes a little while. Towards the end of the offer we did suffer a flood however, and it is possible that some emails and things were lost as things were offline.
