fizzbitt Posted January 11, 2011 Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 Their overflow car park is behind our work office as as im on the 2nd floor we look over it. This morning there were 3 cars with the rear windscreens smashed (to take out the jacks i think) and then 6 cars in total have had the Alloys stolen. The first 3 cars look as they have been pushed off the jacks so they can use the jacks on the next 3 cars so they must be damaged from the drop. All pre-registered cars inc 3 A4 estates and 2 TT's and a A5. I hope they dont take the short cut and just have a quick glance over and think yeah its fine and put some new rims on without considering reducing the value of the car/and or full replacement of damaged/scratched parts underneith. Or was it a sportback? Just wondering :- ) It's to be expected tbh... while most thieves are thieves from the start, I'd probably think more and more people are probably becoming that way from a perfectly normal honest life just to live in this country! Thanks for the heads up though - we had been looking at the A5's in Leeds Audi used only this morning and it was black too so I'll warn the boss to steer away! AJ - the a4 estates were the ones with the smashed rear windscreens. Also the cars were not touched till late afternoon when the police came round so the A5 he saw in the morning would have been alright. They have just started putting the rims on the cars now too. I say 'They' just one poor mechanic at the mo while a MY10 Range Rover with 2 suits watch him and try to figure out how they got in and out as they then drove up and down the car park pointing at the wall. The Audis look a bit sad Are those bricks complimentry to lob over the wall at the Audis? Can you throw bricks at the Audis with out needing a ticket from that machine? No Yes Yes but only if you have ASBO qualities or if you have bought a car form the dealership only to read this thread after you had got it. Like a sh1t version of the bat cave. They had a load of wheels stolen a couple of years ago as well. Listers compound is a lot more impressive.
