hear is my much loved A8 QS 4.2 40valve condition is stunning everything is in perfect working order full service history including 2 transmition fluid changes and one including the strainer/filter ect the car has a big spec the first owner realy opened his wallet when buying this car, full winter pack heated seats front and back, full summer pack including all blinds in the rear auto tinting rear view mirror solar sunroof to keep the car nice and fresh in the hot days, the whole car has just been serviced less than 300 miles ago, it also has the better looking clocks and dials that iluminate in bright white instead if the usual red on the s8, not sure what else to say its all standard with oem tires all round only modification is the AMG quad exit exhaust witch comes with a lifetime warrenty and i allso have the standard system,

Its a good spec, and its a 4.2 Quattro, but its not a sport.... Most folks who can afford the current spiriling fuel costs are looking for the sport model or the S8....

17" rims are pretty undesirable, so any enthusiast looking at your motor is instantly factoring in another grand for decent wheels, which makes it all a bit pricey....

Sorry, just trying to help.... +++

how can you tell its not a sport because the log book even has Quattro Sports Auto on it ? and as for the wheels the pearson i bought the car off had put thease wheels on as they allowed for a larger profile tire as he wanted a smoother ride and i have to agree it is much smoother than my friends S8 with 19" wheels

That's a drawback when you personalise a vehicle (same when selling a house) something you like, maybe not be appreciated by future buyers. I had a similar issue when selling one of my M3's, it had 19" BBS CH's (stylish, high quality wheels) but some perspective buyers still preferred the OEM 19's.

It's not a sport as it doesn't have the Recaro seats, sports suspension or wheels although the wheels like you say have been changed. Looks like it's got a great spec though which even 02 final edition S8s don't even have.

yea i did have it looked over at aylsbury audi and they commented and all sed that if it was the S8 in the 40v with all that spec and extra stuff it would still be worth upwards of 6k not sure how realistic that is though, so whats the main difference with the recaros then ? as many S8 claiming to have recaros on piston heads have the same seats as me only with an extra leg extender sort of thing, would i need to review my pricing or do you think that is right ?

also was just wandering i have not modded anything other that the quad pipe system, i have had a quote for a full twin turbo convertion using K04 low boost for reliability if i invest in this and an Audi pearl black Vynal wrap how will this affect resale ? of course it would be very rare and unique but would it De value the car at all, Vynal can be removed any time so thats not a problem just protects the paint further, ? views on this would be brilliant
