shao_khan
THat looks like it must be a Caractere kit for the polo - for information about it speak to RSD in banbury or www.roadandsport.co.uk.
Drillslinger
Is it me, or does that kit make the Polo look like a CTR
fitboy2837
what do you mean car kit? Also anyone know where i can get those alloys from and how much they are?
kermit
[ QUOTE ] Is it me, or does that kit make the Polo look like a CTR [/ QUOTE ] most of the modern cars today look the same. polo/ctr/C3 whatever, you name it. it's sad, but it's like that. fitboy2837
do you know wat alloys those are? and are the tinted windows illegal?
Drillslinger
No idea on the tints, but the wheels are the Audi RSTT 9-spokes, or replicas. They look OEM, so I would assume they came off of an A2
shao_khan
I would like to think Drillbob is right with the A2 fitment, but is the new polo 5 stud fitment? as the A2 is (I just checked the pics of my A2 in the gallery). Tints on the front windows (between Apillar and Bpillar)will very shortly be illegal in the UK. THe rears will be fine though.
Drillslinger
Photo from the Polo GT page on the Volkswagen.de website indicates 5 bolts
spudgun
9N Polo stud pattern is 5x100 AFAIK The alloys did come from an A2
fitboy2837
what does 5 stud mean? will they fit my polo twist? How much are they?
Ritey
"studs" are basically bolts that hold the wheel on, the amount of studs on every car varies, generally between 3 stud up to 5 stud. The amount of studs you have depend on the style of alloy you can buy, as you already have alloys, at the moment I would recommened just keeping what you have, unless you have money to burn. As for making your polo better, if you want better performance without much cost, you need to look at sports exhausts, and air filter change possibly to something like a K&N, you could also if you have more money take it to a company like AMD and throw money at them and they can tweak the cars performance for you - which is what most of the guys do on this forum. fitboy2837
hi if you look on the first page of this post, that silver polo looks amazing. I want my car to look like that. How much are thoe tinted widnows and the spoiler? what else can do to improve the look of my car and also can u plz reply to my other question about my radio thanks
shao_khan
That Silver polo has the following parts: Caracterre Front Spoiler, Side cills, rear roof spoiler and rear bumper spoiler. You could get prices from a stockest suck as RSD - www.raodandsport.co.uk. Wheels - you could get any wheels (effectively) but the ones in the picture are likely to be from an Audi A2 and so available from an Audi dealer or perhaps someone like VAGparts. Other wheels would be available Projektzwo wheels would look good (speak to RSD above). Replicas of the ones in the phot would probably be available from AMD http://www.amd-technik.co.uk/. Otherwise try your local wheel stockist. Stereo - Cant remember the question.
shao_khan
Oh sorry forgot - the tinted windows - available from Pentagon - search on this forum for contact infromation. Available in varying degrees of darkness.
J6ORDS
If you do change your rims, be sure to hold on to the old ones, you'll need those during the winter when they start to grit the roads again. Failing that you'll have to clean them every other day as I have over the last month or so to prevent the dust and salt from ruining them.
fitboy2837
hi, road and sport is a very complicated website, can u please tell me where i can look on the site for the grills and spoilers and stuff. and how much they cost thanks? also will they fit on my polo twsit, the new one. shao_khan
Just use the phone number listed in their contacts and speak to Danny - they will tell you what it costs - the prices are not published on the site (I presume beause cost depends on what paint type you have, and how much you want done, etc). Trye looking here - it is the online brochure: Polo 5 The best way for more accurate information is to actually call them or send them an email. More than 50% light and your OK..... this is according to Lothian & Borders Police. They offered to check mine for me!

R32North
Did I write 50%, Doh, Doh, Doh is me. I know fully well the level is 70% on the front side windows, 75% on windscreen and it doesn't matter on the rest of them! me down for being stupid! Ps, what with the 'bump'?
