hydrocilator
Hi guys, new to the forum and new to diesel power :D I like the amount of info on here. I have been offered an 2000 Merc C220 CDI, low miler, presumably W202. Does anyone have an idea of what mpg I should be getting from this car? I do 100 motorway miles a day. I always liked the styling and shape of these cars so would really like the opportunity to drive one. Anyone with experience of this model like to point out any common faults for when I go to view the car?

Anyone with experience of this model like to point out any common faults for when I go to view the car? Hi! Welcome to TSN C220 CDi - 2000? That was on the cusp of the new model. So....... if it is this model :- It should be bullet-proof, but basic and spartan inside. Watch for rust? If it's manual, I'd want a big discount or maybe walk away. Merc's should be automatic. If it's this one:- Then I'd be a bit more careful in getting it checked. The early editions suffered from a few gremlins which MIGHT have been sorted. Eitherway, MPG should be over 44 - in real world motorway driving. I drive an A6 2.5 V6 TDi quattro and I get 45+ on my daily motorway commute, without much effort. Hope that helps!
