I may be well behind the curve on this living in the 3rd world and all that.... but I just got in to this and I love it. I spend a lot of time listening to my ipod whilst working (it helps me focus honest)... but no matter how much music I have I never seem to get to hear new interesting stuff when I want to. I pay about £6 (I think its £10 in the UK) a month for spotify and have unlimited access to a huge library with heaps of playlists and any artist you can think of (although I doubt its really is every artist). Its great if you're constantly searching for the next thing. I love the fact that there's so many quality artists I've never heard of and probably never would because.... well that just the way it is. If they get some dosh for a new outlet thats great... they deserve it...

I also love the fact it runs on my phone and I can play it through my home hifi via apple tv. ... and the social groups and the whats new section and 'radio' and other stuff I keep finding. I think its the coolest app I've seen and well worth the cost... It deserves to be huge...

Behind the curve? Full circle more like

Think i've been using it for about 3 or 4 years now like it a lot but you're correct about the artists it's missing a few of the bigger historical ones like Led Zep & The Beatles and a couple of other bands I like listening to aren't on there but on the whole its pretty good. There's 2 levels of costs here now £5 and £10, the £5 one gives you unlimited online listening and the £10 I think gives you offline access so you can store the music on your PC/Phone but also use a Sonos system (or similar) with it. I've got it on laptop, phone and Sonos but still buy physical CD's from what I consider my key artists :)
