Waylander
In all my years of owning the A4 I have only shod it with Contis or Falken tyres. With the house move and work hassles I have recently taken my eye off pretty much everything else. Yes at the back of my mind I vaguely recalled the fronts were going off and the rear passenger might have a slow puncture but yesterday coming out of solicitors I noticed it was almost completely flat and when I pumped it back up say that it must have been for a while as there were stress marks on the sidewall. So went straight from work to the local tyre place to get it changed - and was told to get shot of the slicks my fronts had become. Well all they had in were the non-branded new one and those it had to be. Man was the drive in to work today noisey! I had read all about it which is why I used to go for the Falkens but first time I have truly seen the effect for myself.
stooH
What wheel size have you got? can't believe they only had non-branded ones in - you say non branded, they must have some brand, fess up were they Nankang and did you get a free calendar? Waylander
205/55/R16 Yep I meant no-name brands but no dodgy calendar sadly The didn't even have any Dunlops in which I know is their main preferred brand.
cruiser647
That size tyre must be one of the most popular ever! I suppose the local tyre shop will have catered for the local population and their particular tyre choice?
Waylander
Yep very much so. They know me so order in my Falkens when I tell them to (or else I order and get them delivered there).
