cheechy
Hi, Can anyone help. I've got a Bora TDI PD 115 and bought a HOPA tuning box in 2001 to up the power and torque - quite successful However I want to go to a car based on the new 2.0 TDI (probably the A3) in the next couple of months. Does anyone know if I can just 'plug-in' the HOPA electronic tuning box or would I require to change it for a new one? I'm getting absolutely no help from any of the HOPA resellers I've contacted - obviously because its not a sale I'm asking them about.... Any help would be greatly received!! gambba
Maybe a story such as 'you have both a 1.9TDi and a 2.0 Tdi and are thinking of buying one for the 1.9 anyway but would like to try it on the 2.0 and if it goes well then would purchase another one'.....or something along the lines of that. cheechy
Out of desperation I actually did try Hopa themselves and the response couldn't have been more prompt and helpful. I'm actually still waiting to hear if the unit will fit the 2.0 TDI but have established that if it does it will need to be reprogrammed and I can buy a new warranty for it for 75 euros. The problem at the moment is that obviously there is a little bit of a language barrier but we're getting there! If it works I can't wait - between 163 and 170hp with around 380nm torque from a A3 - should be a flyer! Here's hoping
