Andy_Bangle
Be interesting to see what's shown on the McLaren PCU-8D LCD display, which is being used by (at least) 3 teams this season, it can show the following: - Current lap time- Delta (faster/slower than previous lap/fastest lap)- Engine (oil/water) temperature- energy recovery system status- gears/speed - Tetris - brake bias I bet their rival teams will be firmly focused on the cockpit TV feeds http://www.mclarenelectronics.com/Products/Product/PCU-8D Edited February 3, 2014 by Andy_Bangle
Andy_Bangle
I think the TsN massive should start fund raising to have one installed in Patently's car - complete with a Mercedes style anti-collision system.
patently
I think the TsN massive should start fund raising to have one installed in Patently's car - complete with a Mercedes style anti-collision system. Very kind! Mind you, I already have: - Current lap time - Delta - Engine water temperature - speed - crash g-force on the dash instruments or this little box stuck to what's left of my windscreen: The gears and brake bias I tend to just fondle the appropriate knob to remind myself, and the energy recovery system status is the burger van in the paddock Tetris would be cool, though
Tipex
Does the Caterham have an OBD2 port? Just wondering if anyone has tried one of those little Bluetooth/WiFi OBD port dongles that allows your iPhone to display all the engine temperatures etc, and if they are any good? Andy_Bangle
Tetris would be cool, though I thought you'd enjoy playing that, whilst waiting for the recovery truck

It does have an output for the CAN bus, but there is not much on there (apparently) and all we are allowed to monitor during races is the revs.
